Nature Walk at Black Rock Forest
August 25 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
We invite you to join fellow Wild Woods Restoration Project volunteer Adrienne on a Nature Walk at Black Rock Forest. We will take a slow-paced walk on a maintained road through a portion of Black Rock Forest to explore plants, fungi, birds and other vital pollinators.
Adrienne completed her Master Naturalist certification, a Cornell Cooperative Extension program, in 2020 and has since achieved Master Naturalist level 30. She has led bird walks for 10 years for a local bird club, has volunteered as an invasive species surveyor since 2013, monitored amphibians, fireflies and ticks, and has volunteered for Wild Woods Restoration Project since its formation.
Everyone is welcome, however this event is limited to 10 participants. Advance registration is required.
Adrienne has kindly offered share her knowledge and lead this walk to help raise funds for Wild Woods Restoration Project. Each participant is encouraged to make a donation to Wild Woods Restoration Project to help us further our mission of restoring the Hudson Valley forests with local, native plants grown by volunteers and inspiring a sense of continued stewardship. (Suggested donation $20).
